ABOUT

HG is an internationally recognised IP boutique dedicated to advising clients in the US and Europe. The firm is known for its exceptional attorneys who grasp the “why”. This underpins HG’s tech-forward approach in handling high-stakes, complex matters through deep client collaboration. With substantial technical breadth, litigation-informed expertise and its understanding of clients’ commercial objectives, HG ensures that the patents it secures are robust and defensible, ultimately adding to the bottom line through their strategic value.

AI Adoption – Taking Back Control

As the adoption of AI in day-to-day work accelerates, there is a pressing need for in-house IP leaders to seize the initiative over the adoption of AI in IP-focussed parts of the business – including, of course, the IP function itself.

Key questions likely to be raised by senior executives in the organisation include:

i) how the use of AI can provide an improvement in the productivity of the IP function;

ii) how use of AI in IP-focussed parts of the business should be managed to prevent the leakage of trade secrets and other confidential information outside the organisation via AI tools; and

iii) what is it that AI can’t do for an IP function?

This invite-only workshop brings together senior IP decision-makers to learn from HG’s practical experience of having adopted IP-focussed AI tools in the work it does for some of its clients and to understand how HG’s practical experience might help them.

Through roundtable discussions and presentations revealing hard-won insights, attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of where AI delivers productivity improvements in the IP function, where caution is required, and how to steer the adoption of AI both in-house and within external IP firms working on their behalf.
